The Ouxi GT2000 in orange comes in two versions and two delivery options. Prices start at €1,299.

Version: Limited (250W)
A 250 W motor with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. This version is immediately legal on public roads — there is nothing to modify or unlock.

Version: Tunable
This version is supplied with the 6 km/h throttle and the included killswitch. With that killswitch you switch between two modes yourself:

  • Limited: throttle 6 km/h, pedal assist 25 km/h
  • Derestricted: throttle and pedal assist up to 60 km/h

Riding derestricted is only permitted on private property. On public roads pedal assist up to 25 km/h is the maximum — so always set the killswitch to limited there.

Ouxi GT2000 – Orange: stand out in traffic and decide for yourself how fast you go

The Ouxi GT2000 in orange runs on 24 inch wheels with 24 x 4.0 inch off-road tyres. Underneath sits a 250 W motor and a 48V / 30Ah battery, 1440 Wh in total. You choose between two versions. Limited (250W) does 25 km/h pedal assist and may be used on public roads just like that. Tunable comes with a 6 km/h throttle and a killswitch, and reaches up to 60 km/h on private property.

In practice it comes down to being seen, braking in time and tuning responsibly. You order from FatbikeKlaar.nl; the same bike is available via FatbikeKlaar.be in Belgium and via FatbikeKlaar.com in English.

Why the GT2000 is a good choice

Performance

  • Motor: 250 W nominal, pedal assist up to 25 km/h.
  • Battery: 48V / 30Ah, 1440 Wh in total.
  • Range: 80 km on average, 60 km with heavy assist, 100 km with light assist.
  • Charging time: 5 to 6 hours.
  • Brakes: hydraulic disc brakes, easy to modulate precisely.
  • Wheels: 24 inch with 24 x 4.0 inch off-road tyres.

Safety and the law

With 250 W and 25 km/h pedal assist the GT2000 counts as an ordinary bicycle. No driving licence, no helmet requirement, no registration plate. Limited (250W) meets that straight away. If you ride Tunable, you may only take it onto the road in the limited setting. A bright colour helps, but it does not replace lighting: check your lamps before dark.

The GT2000 in practice

Comfort and riding position

The frame size is 85 cm, with a high frame entry. That is 10 cm more frame than the V20 Pro, so you sit higher and look out over the traffic. The bike suits heights from 150 to 200 cm and is meant for 1 person. It carries 150 kg and weighs 34 kg itself.

Battery and charging

1440 Wh takes you 80 km on average. Heavy assist, a headwind or frequent stops turn that into 60 km. Ride economically and you get 100 km. Charging takes 5 to 6 hours. So plan a long ride around 60 km.

Tuning: what is possible and what is allowed

If you choose Tunable, you get a 6 km/h throttle and a killswitch for two settings. Limited: pedal assist 25 km/h, throttle 6 km/h as walk assist. Tuned: throttle and pedal assist up to 60 km/h. You do not need to check the plug colour; that rule only applies to the V20 family. If you bought Limited, you can tune later with the separate GT2000 controller.

Tuned riding is only allowed on private or enclosed property; on public roads a maximum of 25 km/h pedal assist applies. So set the killswitch to limited before you ride off the kerb. At 60 km/h your braking distance is many times longer. More in our blog about tuning the GT2000 and with the tuning kits.

Service, warranty and delivery

You get a 3 year warranty on the frame and 1 year on the battery and moving parts. Choose Boxed and you assemble it yourself; Assembled arrives ready to ride. Order before 23:59 and the bike is delivered in the Netherlands the next day. We deliver to Belgium and Germany as well. All variants are in stock.

Parts and accessories for the GT2000

The GT2000 compared with our other fatbikes

GT2000 versus QMWheel V20 Pro

The QMWheel V20 Pro runs on 20 inch wheels, has 720 Wh and covers 60 km on average. The GT2000 has 24 inch, 1440 Wh and 80 km. The V20 Pro does have 7 Shimano gears and carries 2 people with a rear seat. Tuned it reaches 45 km/h with a red motor plug, 32 km/h with a black one. Both bikes weigh 34 kg.

GT2000 versus Ouxi C80 Family Edition

The Ouxi C80 Family Edition is the family bike: 20 inch, frame size 75 cm, 36 kg, for 2 people with an optional rear seat. It is delivered limited to 25 km/h; tuning up to 45 km/h runs via a separate controller or display. Its 720 Wh battery covers 60 km on average.

GT2000 versus Ouxi V8 Ultra Max

The Ouxi V8 Ultra Max has two removable batteries of 1440 Wh together and covers 120 km on average, with free accessories and a maintenance kit. It weighs 40 kg, runs on 20 inch and goes up to 50 km/h when tuned. The GT2000 is 6 kg lighter and has bigger wheels.

The GT2000 also comes in black and green. The technology and versions are the same; orange makes you most visible on the road.

Frequently asked questions about the GT2000

Do I need a driving licence or a helmet for the GT2000?

No. Limited, and Tunable in the limited setting, is an ordinary e-bike with 25 km/h pedal assist. A driving licence, helmet and registration plate are not required.

How far do I get on a full battery?

On average 80 km on 1440 Wh. With heavy assist or a headwind 60 km is realistic; riding economically gives 100 km. Charging takes 5 to 6 hours.

May I ride tuned on public roads?

No, only on private or enclosed property. On the road you set the killswitch to limited: 25 km/h pedal assist and 6 km/h throttle. That way you stand out through your colour, not your speed.

What about warranty and maintenance?

3 years on the frame, 1 year on the battery and moving parts. Check the brake pads and tyre pressure regularly, certainly if you ride tuned.

Do I have to assemble the GT2000 myself?

That is up to you. Boxed you assemble at home; Assembled arrives ready to ride. If you want to tune later, you connect the controller with 5 cables.
