Return Policy

You have the right to submit a return request within 14 days of receiving your purchase. You can submit your return request via our service page: https://www.fatbikeklaar.nl/pages/service. Once your request has been approved, you have 14 days to send the product back or have it collected. Returns without prior notification or without valid proof of purchase will not be accepted.

Collection costs Netherlands

  • Collection of an unused fatbike in its box: €49.00
  • Collection of an assembled fatbike: €69.00
  • Returning accessories or parts: €4.95
  • Additional charge for incorrect preparation (e.g. not disassembled or poorly packaged): €25.00

Collection costs Belgium

  • Collection of an unused fatbike in its box: €79.00
  • Collection of an assembled fatbike: €149.00
  • Returning accessories or parts: €5.95
  • Additional charge for incorrect preparation (e.g. not disassembled or poorly packaged): €25.00

Return conditions

A fatbike, accessory or part is eligible for return if it is in new condition, complete (including battery, charger, both keys and any other accessories) and returned in the original, intact packaging. Valid proof of purchase is also required. The condition of the packaging and the product is documented with photos by our delivery service upon delivery and checked upon return. Fatbikes may have been ridden for a maximum of 5 kilometers.

Defects, damage or incorrect deliveries on arrival must be reported within 24 hours via https://www.fatbikeklaar.nl/pages/service. Reports made after this period will not be processed, unless required by law.

Tunable products (displays, controllers, tuning kits)

Tunable products, including tunable displays with a personal code and/or killswitch, tunable controllers and complete tuning kits, are excluded from the right of withdrawal once configuration or activation has been carried out. This applies pursuant to Article 6:230p sub f and sub g of the Dutch Civil Code (in Belgium: Article VI.53 of the Code of Economic Law (WER)):

  • These products are configured specifically for your fatbike and/or with a personal code before they are shipped, and therefore qualify as manufactured to the consumer's specifications.
  • The firmware/software in displays and controllers is activated and personalized by you or on your behalf; this constitutes software activated by the consumer, to which the right of withdrawal does not apply.

By ordering a tunable product, you expressly agree that the right of withdrawal lapses as soon as the product has been configured or activated for you. Unopened, non-activated tunable products may be returned in exceptional cases; this is assessed by FatbikeKlaar on a case-by-case basis.

Please note: derestricting a fatbike above 25 km/h is not permitted on public roads in the Netherlands and Belgium and is intended exclusively for use on private property. Use on public roads is at the user's own risk and voids the warranty.

Assembly costs

The cost of making your fatbike ready to ride (€50.00) is not refunded in the event of a return or a cancellation within 48 hours before delivery. If you choose to have your fatbike delivered assembled, these costs remain at your expense, even if you return the fatbike or cancel the order within 48 hours before delivery.

Return instructions

After submitting your return request via our service page and once we have accepted it, you will receive a date on which we will collect the product, or a return label with detailed instructions for shipping your package. For accessories or parts, you will receive a return label. Returns without a prior request will not be accepted. Incorrectly packaged or incomplete returns will be refused.

Exceptions to the right of return

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Clearance items and items from discounted promotions (such as Spring Deals).
  • Gift cards.
  • Personalized products.
  • Tunable products whose configuration or activation has been carried out (see above).
  • Products with a broken hygiene seal.

Inspection upon receipt

Inspect your order carefully upon receipt. If you find any defects or damage, or if you have received the wrong item, report it within 12 hours via https://www.fatbikeklaar.nl/pages/service or via WhatsApp at +31 6 82090642. After this period, complaints will no longer be processed, unless required by law.

Exchange and refund procedure

To exchange an item, you must first return the original product. Once accepted, you can place a new order. After we have received your return and approved it for a refund, the amount due will be refunded to your original payment method within 14 days, or issued as a gift card after deduction of return costs and any depreciation.

Financing agreement

If FatbikeKlaar has financed the product or if it was purchased using an installment plan (for example iDEAL in3 or Klarna), the financing agreement is automatically dissolved as soon as the consumer validly exercises the right of withdrawal.
